French toast is a classic breakfast or brunch dish made by dipping slices of bread in a mixture of beaten eggs, milk, and often sugar and spices like cinnamon and vanilla extract, then frying them until golden brown. The result is a soft, slightly custardy interior with a crisp, golden exterior.

Ingredients
- Bread: 8 slices (choose thick-cut bread).
- Eggs: 4 (large)
- Milk: 1 cup (use whole milk for a richer taste, or you may substitute with almond/soy milk)
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Sugar: 2 tablespoons (optional, as per taste)
- Salt: A pinch (to balance flavour)
- Butter: 2–3 tablespoons (for cooking, richness)

- Optional toppings:
- Maple syrup
- Honey
- Fresh fruits (berries, bananas, etc.)
- Powdered sugar
- Whipped cream
- Nutella or peanut butter
Prepare the Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar (if using), and a pinch of salt , As it will help you balance the flavour well. Whisk until well combined and slightly frothy.
Preheat the Pan:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle pan over medium heat , Because if you use these your batter will not stick to the pan .
- Add a small knob of butter (about 1/2 tablespoon) and let it melt, spreading it evenly across the surface.
Dip the Bread:
- One at a time, dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture. Let it soak for about 5 seconds on each side ( because if kept for a longer time duration then the bread will become dense and soggy).
- Ensure the bread is fully coated but not soggy.
Cook the French Toast:
- Place the soaked bread on the preheated pan.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, as it will get a nice golden brown color and slightly crisp around the edges.
- Repeat with the remaining slices, adding more butter to the pan as needed.
Keep Warm (Optional):
- If making a large batch, keep the cooked slices warm by placing them on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200°F (95°C).
Serve and Garnish:
- Stack the French toast on plates.
- Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle powdered sugar on top as it taste tremendous.
- Add fresh fruits or other toppings of your choice for extra flavor and presentation as well.
- tip- you can add berries for a better experience. (such as strawberries, blue berries). Because of these your plate will look more presentable as well as healthy.

*Tips For The Perfect French Toast:
- Use day-old bread for the best texture. Slightly stale bread absorbs the egg mixture without becoming too mushy.
- For a creamier batter, replace half the milk with heavy cream.
- Adjust sweetness and spices to your taste.
- Nutmeg or cardamom can be added for a unique twist.
